Mandatory for Travellers
- All visitors have to mandatorily install the Aarogya Setu app before entering Himachal Pradesh
- All passengers should maintain social distancing protocols and follow all guidelines issued by the Government of India
- All passengers will have to undergo screening at the airport/railway station before commencing their journey to Himachal Pradesh, and again at the border check posts of whichever district they are travelling to
Quarantine and Testing Rules
- Travellers from areas with high load of Covid-19 infections have to undergo 14 days of institutional quarantine while those from areas with low load of Covid-19 infections need to undergo 14 days of home quarantine. Exemptions to institutional
quarantine include those travelling for medical emergencies, death, pregnancy or in case of senior citizens with other illnesses or those travelling with children below 10 years of age - Residents of Himachal Pradesh exiting the state for a short duration (business or medical reasons) and returning within 48 hours do not have to undergo quarantine, provided they are asymptomatic
- Tourists with valid booking, preferably for duration of not less than 5 days can be exempted from quarantine provided they carry a negative test certificate from an ICMR authorized lab. This test must be done within 72 hours of date of
arrival to the state

Road Travel Guidelines
- You have to apply online for an e-Pass to travel inter-state but not for inter-district travel
- Only 3 people can travel with one driver
- Travel timing is 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- All passengers need to carry a government ID which has valid address proof
- It is mandatory to wear a mask while travelling
- A minimum of 24-48 hours is required to issue the pass
- No permission for pick-up or drop if the location falls in Cantonment Zone
- People aged above 65 years or those with comorbidities, pregnant women and children less than 10 years have been advised to stay home
- A medical certificate is required for those travelling on medical grounds. A list of medicines must also be provided

Hotel Guidelines
- Hotels are now open and those visiting the state for official/ business/ tourism reasons can stay in the hotels. Local residents can also opt to stay in the hotels
